What bands influence or do you like that are sXe? I like Earth Crisis, Fugazi, Black Flag, and of course Minor Threat.

fugazi and black flag were not sxe really. i wouldnt say say. but i would give a nod to SSD, Youth Of Today, Uniform Choice, DYS, Mouthpiece and more recently Ten Yard Fight, Floorpunch, In My Eyes, Mental and i guess Throwdown would have to be in there though i'm not a huge fan of them

      * We've got nothing better to do
Than watch T.V. and have a couple of brews
      ..

yeah I'd say Black Flag are straight edge, uh huh...

      ----

unfortunately, I don't know many straight edge bands.. wish I did though.

Throwdown and Bleeding Through are my favourite's though.

Straight-Edgers can all be very proud of the fact that they made a militant “movement” spanning nearly three decades out of a 48-second song written by a man who later decided that a little weed here and there couldn't hurt.

I would have to agree.Black flag is NOT straight edge....I realize that OL' Hank Rollins ( henry ) is / was friends with Ian Mackaye of Minor threat.....black flag had songs like "T.v. Party" and "Wasted"....If you're looking for GREAT sXe bands check out WARZONE, GORILLA BISCUITS, UNITY, YOUTH OF TODAY, CAUSE FOR ALARM.....Old school sXe hardcore...none of this wearing my sister's slim jeans, eyeliner, shaggy hair hear with a t-shirt that's two sizes too small!
