4. Stop writing X on your hands- you could absorb marker through your skin
5. Beat the hell out of people who posion themselves with drugs
6. Write x's all over every bit of your clothes
7. End all of your sentences with 'x' and 'core'- someone may join us
8. Try to dream within edge
9. Shut everything out that isn't totally clean
10. Marry within edge
11. Have straightedge neighbors- otherwise they could contaminate you with their hate
12. Touch doors using napkins- doors are covered in fingerprints of non-edge people
13. Don't get tatoos- they are posion ink carved into your body
14. Wash your food before eating it
15. Listen ONLY to straightedge music- other music is filled with hate and lust and addiction
16. Be sure to be buried away from any of the addicted masses
17. Don't watch TV- it preaches immorality
18. Shun those who arent as accepting and cleanas you- even those who clai to be straightedge but aren't
19. Don't take any medication- its a drug
20. Make sure everyone within a 20 mile radius knows of your choices

I guess i shouldnt have said anything, but the straightedges where i come from are incredibly obnoxious, elitist, and violent towards non-straightedges, and are constantly trying to outdo one another as far as things they give up. I shouldn't have mistaken them (who seem to be simple posers) with the real deal (from what ive seen so far, thats you guys) I just think that to be totally clean from poisons of modern life, it has to be as much mental as it is physical, and the straightedges in my town, as a rule anyways, there are exceptions, are totally clean phsyically but are mentally more corrupt then us who do poison ourselves. -

With religions you get zealot crusaders, with science fiction you get trekkies, and with straight edge you get some assholes who think it's cool to wait outside bars to attack the drunk people exiting after last call. This does about as much to prove that someone is straight edge as gay bashing does to prove that an offender is heterosexual.
