Does someone have to be seriously into hardcore to consider themselves to be sxe? I like punk, as well as other music, but I am mainly drawn to the philosophy of sxe in terms of not poisoning yourself with drugs, animal products and so on. So where would that put me?

something about what you said caught my eye- animal products? alot of sxe kids are vegan/veg or whatever, yeh, but you dont have to stay away fromanimal products to be edge..

The straightedge movement originated in the hardcore scene, so naturally, it is a very large part of edge culture. Being edge is about integrity, it is a lifetime committment that you make to yourself.
